reminiscing

A day at the children's museum. Josiah and Lynsey went with us and we had a blast. We painted, made bubbles, played in the kitchen and farmed the day, well 2 hours, away!!!

And this pic (below) is their attempt at mean faces/muscle flex......too funny how natural these things are for little boy's. He knew just what Justin was doing. Well, Eli's face isn't so mean, he's too cute to have a mean face!!!!

SOOO hard to believe that 3 years ago Eli was born.

2nd birthday

3rd birthday

What a difference. This year he used a fork to eat his cake rather then his fingers!!!
He has grown into a fine young boy. Not a baby anymore and really not a toddler.

Parker, one of the boys in the youth group, gets made when people call him a baby. It's really cute.

One last thing, FINALLY we have another appointment at Bethany next week to get the ball rolling again. Excited to see what God is going to do with this. Boy or Girl?????? Really ready for this next chapter.

Grace and Peace to you all!!!

Gone Fishin

So, with the weather being so hot lately I thought it would be nice to head to the lake. Green Lake that is. I knew we wouldn't catch much, but i thought it would be fun to just be outside.

Justin caught the first fish. After that the gloves came off, I wasn't going to let him win. All together we caught at least a dozen blue gill and a few yellow belly sun fish, mine being the biggest, of course.

Justin was getting frustrated so he gave up. He said the fish were vultures, because they keep getting his worm without him getting them. It was rather comical to watch him get sooooo frustrated. So he decided to take Eli out in the kayak.

My big catch of the night.....a sun fish.

Eli enjoying an orange soda. This is what happens when PAPA is around......

Eli seemed to be a little scared of the fish. As we would take them off the hook and toss them back in, he would squirm just a little. We MUST work on this. I can't have him afraid of fish. I need his help taking them off my hook next year.

And this UGLY thing is a bull fish that Dan caught. It is the SLIMIEST thing I have ever laid eyes on. I must remember, God made ALL things for a purpose......

On that note, the evening was great. It was nice to spend time with the men in my life.

Only 3 days until we head for Colorado.
The calender on my fridge has been a great reminder, in case I were to forget. Ya Right.

New experiences

For Christmas Eli was given a membership to the The Childrens Museum. So last week we took sometime to go check it out. Talk about sensory over load.

I think his favorite part was the sandbox. He sat at the sand for at least 10 minutes, which in Eli terms is a really long time.
Soooo many things to do. The farm, fishing, music, bubbles, fire truck, super market and the list goes on and on. I'm excited to go hang out and play some more. They seem to do fun things there often for the kids to do. This coming week is Dairy week and I think they will have a few calf's there for the kids to see.

ADOPTION update
We still have to get our finger prints and physicals done. We haven't taken the time to go get our finger prints done or our physicals. I'm not sure why we are procrastinating so much. Maybe it's a bit of the enemy getting in our way, so if you think of it this week if you could pray that we will have time to get these things done so we can get the process moving that would be lovely.
