BUST

Well, this weekend was a bit of a bust. No camping, which is a huge let down for me. BUT, it was really nice to be with my 2 favorite boys in the world for 4 whole days!!!!

We visited Justin's grandma and grandpa for 2 of those days. We just love to spend time with them. They love Eli sooo very much and that is great to see!!!! And he loves to be with them as well.

Monday we headed home and then to our friends for a perfect day at the pool.

Only 15 more days until Colorado..... I will try to enjoy a few weeks of down time before we leave.

O' ya, I walked last night and road my bike tonight for about 5 miles!!! On the road to a healthy active summer!!!!! So thankful for the warm weather!!!

Peace and love!

Summer is almost here

I am so excited....boy time sure goes go fast. We have been pretty busy around here. Yet I have nothing accomplished. No garden planted and no yoga in weeks.
I did turn 35.....my O my, and my dad would have been 60 this past Monday. That was a hard day. I sure do miss him. I didn't expect to feel the emotion that I did that day. But all is well now.

Last weekend the Metiva clan went to Middleberry, IN to the Essen Haus. The Midwest. What a great place. I would love that life for a summer. To retreat from the chaos of our day to day life we live here in this Midwest. Don't get me wrong I LOVE my life, it couldn't be better. Well a girl can dream and visit that Midwest as much as possible.

This pic just melts my heart. Eli boy LOVE, LOVES animals!!!!!!!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy your weekend. Make new memories and treasure the memories of those that are no longer here. This week we are praising the Lord for a life spared yesterday. Praying a speedy and smooth recovery Paula.........we love you and your fam tons!!!!!

Peace, and gentle spirit

1 Corinthians 4:18 Some of you have become arrogant, as if I were not coming to you.

Wake up and smell the coffee people I am right here in your face. I think this is how God would share this verse if we were to have coffee today. I search so hard for peace in my life yet I so often I skip right over the most obvious solution, my Heavenly Father. Not anymore!

I started reading Jesus Calling today, and journaling and learning and reading more. My thought for the day, Peace only God holds the key for you. And live, gentle in spirit.

Grace and Peace
