On the way to Panama

So, on Sunday our pastor prayed for divine appointment for the team. Weather in the airport going through customs or just traveling on the plane and of course while on the trip. That scares me, I can do the work trips, no problem. But this is different. I am not used to the evangelizing trips. You would think that the Savior I love would be easy to share. But the USA is a little jaded to my Savior, so it scares me that I will be judged in that way in another country too.

My prayer for our team is for courage, boldness, for eye's that see and the ear's that hear, who we should talk to and what to say.

Please be praying for us. There are 14 students and 4 adults. Pray for Gods will to be accomplished, for strength for the team and for the whole team to come together as one.

Peace and Grace. I will update hopefully while we are there!!!!

Day 6

Maroon Bells, Aspen Colorado

Well, it's been raining a lot which is stressing my mom and Mark out way more then me and the girls. We're making the best of it, taking day trips here and there. On Saturday we went to Vail just bumin around and I think I saw Dr. Oz. This man, Dr. Oz, was with a group of people running through the Vail Village. Jenny went after them but could catch them.

Eli helping grandma make breakfast. He loves to be in the kitchen!

Well, 5 days left. The time sure goes fast.

Grace and Peace!!

Road trip

We made it, 22 and 1/2 hours later, we have arrived in Colorado. My mom had a fabulous dinner waiting for us when we pulled in. We relaxed for a bit, catching up, before we heading to bed. Everyone slept really well the first night here to make-up for the lack of sleep while traveling.

The next morning my brother told me that our cousins from
Austin were in Vail for a wedding. So they drove to Gypsum for a little visit. We hung out at the park for a bit to let the kids run around and play for a bit. Then it was time for them to head back to feed the kiddo's and get a nap in.

Next it was time for some ice cream.
We went to Eagle to an ice cream social. Then a little stroll through town and that's when the call came in, the the horse was ready for us. A friend of Marks has a few horses and offered to let us come ride a bit.

Eli had fun, he really loves the horses. The girls all took a turn and I was able to lead the horse around while Anna road. As she was getting off the horse my foot got in the way and the horse stepped on my toe. It kind of REALLY hurt. But thankfully my toe came out with just a scratch.

Well, it's a new day and it's raining. So we are going to head south to find the sun and maybe hike a volcano on the way back to Gypsum.

Grace and peace to you. talk soon!!!!

Gone Fishin

So, with the weather being so hot lately I thought it would be nice to head to the lake. Green Lake that is. I knew we wouldn't catch much, but i thought it would be fun to just be outside.

Justin caught the first fish. After that the gloves came off, I wasn't going to let him win. All together we caught at least a dozen blue gill and a few yellow belly sun fish, mine being the biggest, of course.

Justin was getting frustrated so he gave up. He said the fish were vultures, because they keep getting his worm without him getting them. It was rather comical to watch him get sooooo frustrated. So he decided to take Eli out in the kayak.

My big catch of the night.....a sun fish.

Eli enjoying an orange soda. This is what happens when PAPA is around......

Eli seemed to be a little scared of the fish. As we would take them off the hook and toss them back in, he would squirm just a little. We MUST work on this. I can't have him afraid of fish. I need his help taking them off my hook next year.

And this UGLY thing is a bull fish that Dan caught. It is the SLIMIEST thing I have ever laid eyes on. I must remember, God made ALL things for a purpose......

On that note, the evening was great. It was nice to spend time with the men in my life.

Only 3 days until we head for Colorado.
The calender on my fridge has been a great reminder, in case I were to forget. Ya Right.

new family member

The countdown is on.......I can't wait for our departure for CO.
There is a new family member. It's name is blue and i'm not sure of the sex. Eli is gonna have a blast with the new puppy. When we first got Wilson he was a big dog, so Eli never really experienced the whole "puppy" part of dog life. I think the will be a match made in heaven. Really what dog/toddler isn't?

ADOPTION update....
We have our finger prints done, now Justin needs a physical and then the caseworker will come meet with us to start the home-study process. My guess that will be sometime in mid July.

Please keep us in your prayers. That the timing will be Gods. For the birth-mom to have a healthy pregnancy. That she will be confident in the choice for life she is making. The whole process with Eli went sooooo smooth, I pray that this will be the same. If not, then I pray for Gods strength to get through what he has in store for us.

thanks for visiting. I will post again soon. Grace and Peace until then!

The zoo

Eli and I took a trip to the zoo!! It was a little busy due to all of the "end of the year" class trips. But we still had a great time. Most of the animals were sleeping or sun bathing, but we still saw our share of monkey behinds. I wonder why God made them so, well you know, gross?

We waited until the end of the visit to take the pic with John. Any family that has visited the zoo has a picture with John. I'm sure if I looked hard enough I could find one of myself and my brothers with him.

I think we made it 1 mile down the road before Eli fell OUT!!!! (asleep that is) and slept until 3:45 when I realized I hadn't heard a peep from in all afternoon. I opened his door to check on him and there he was, just chillin in his bed.

And this fine couple had a nice treat at home last night. Since we were not able to do smore's over a campfire last weekend we got creative and made them over our stove. We added peanut butter and I put banana on mine. We popped them in the microwave to melt the chocolate a bit.
BOY O BOY they were tasty.
