music at the zoo

Part the great thing about our city is that as my aunt says, “you can listen to live, local, free music all summer Monday through Thursday”. So Monday Eli and I met Tia, a.k.a Aunt Theresa, and Uncle Bob at the zoo for music at the zoo. The Evan Hyde band played. It was a ton of fun. Evan is a former student from our youth group who played the drums for our youth worship band for a few years. It was really cool to see him at that venue playing and leading the band. He is super talented. Eli Enjoyed chocolate covered strawberries, 3 to be exact, pasta salad and guacamole. I just love to watch Eli dance and people watch. All of the people around enjoyed watching him too. He is truly a crowd lover.

summer time

We have had a busy summer so far. Justin just got back from a 10 day mission trip Panama City, Panama with the high school youth group

The girls found this in the toilet at the host home they stayed in.
Justin, Even H. and Kyle
We went to a Tigers game, Eli loved the fireworks, celebrating the 4th of July and catching up with friends and family from near and far this week. I just love living in Michigan. There is always something to do, and let me tell you we stay plenty busy.

So Jenny and I took Eli to Blanford Nature Center today. It was fun to carry him in the backpack. Jenny took some great pics, I will post some once she downloads them. We meet a man named Chris, he is in a wheel chair. His friend Harlin was pushing him around. It was really cool to see that even with disabilities some people don't let them stop them. It's nice to take a stroll and see ALL of Gods creations!!
